7:00 PM EST. The odds makers are dangling the proverbial carrot with Saskatchewan tonight, take the points and take an easy win. We are going to pass. The Roughriders have put together a strong season, but that is precisely why we believe this number is a trap.

BC is playing its best football of the season and, more importantly, the Lions have shown they can win close games rather than simply needing everything to go their way. The offense has started to find its rhythm, and Nathan Rourke is coming off a performance that should provide plenty of confidence heading into this matchup. We also like the way BC has continued to compete when games have gone down to the wire. That matters when laying a modest number.

Saskatchewan has been one of the better teams in the West, but we believe the market has caught up with that reputation. This is not a spot where we need BC to dominate from start to finish. We need the Lions to play their game at home, make Saskatchewan uncomfortable and finish the job late. The Roughriders have already shown that a team can control portions of a game against BC and still find itself in trouble when the Lions get rolling.

We are laying the points with BC tonight. The number is telling us to take Saskatchewan, and we are not interested in following that crowd. BC has won three straight, is coming off another hard-fought victory and now gets this matchup at home. We expect the Lions to continue that run and win this game by enough to cover.
