Hamilton +6½ -110 over Edmonton 

7:00 PM EST. The Tiger-Cats are also coming off a performance that should give this offence some confidence. They found ways to move the ball against Ottawa, and the important part is that Hamilton didn’t fold when the game was there to be won. The offence has shown it can generate enough production to keep the scoreboard moving, and Edmonton has not exactly been playing flawless football lately. The Elks are coming off a bye, which can provide a useful reset, but a week of rest doesn’t automatically fix every problem. Hamilton needs to stay aggressive, make Edmonton defend for the full length of the field, and avoid giving the visitors easy possessions. This is not a team that needs to be intimidated by the Elks’ position in the standings.

The biggest advantage for us is the number. Edmonton can win this game and still leave us with a winning ticket, and the Elks will have to be clearly better to cover a spread of nearly a touchdown on the road. Hamilton has already demonstrated that it can go toe-to-toe with this opponent, and playing at home should help the Tiger-Cats keep the contest close. Edmonton may be the team with more to gain in the standings, but motivation doesn’t count for points on the betting slip. We’ll take the home side, the points, and the chance to make the Elks sweat right down to the final whistle.
