8:30 PM ET. Respect is still lagging when it comes to San Antonio, and this line proves it. What exactly does San Antonio have to do to get some love here? The Spurs just accomplished something only one other team has managed all season — they beat Oklahoma City. That wasn’t a fluke or a shooting anomaly; it was a disciplined, physical performance that showed how versatile this team has become. Yet here they are again, undervalued, catching plus money against a Knicks team whose reputation is doing much of the heavy lifting in the market.

New York has been excellent, no question. An 18–7 record and one of the best ATS marks in the league will naturally attract attention and inflate prices. The Knicks are treated like a finished product, a presumed Eastern Conference frontrunner that should be favored by default. But that perception is now baked into the line. When teams start cashing consistently, the market adjusts — and often overcorrects.

What’s being overlooked is that San Antonio owns the same record and has shown more range in how it wins. The Spurs can push tempo, score in bunches, and turn games into track meets — but they can also slow things down and grind out wins, as they did against the Thunder. That adaptability matters in the NBA Cup Final.

Strip away logos and hype, and we dare argue the wrong side is favored. The Knicks are favored because of narrative and recent profitability, not because they’re better.
