9:38 PM ET. On paper, this is Minnesota’s game. They’ve won nine of the last ten head-to-head and the market has piled onto them accordingly. But we don’t play history, we play numbers, and this one doesn’t add up.

The Twins are a bad road team — 28-44 away from home — and they’re built for pitcher-friendly parks, not a venue like Anaheim where the Halos mash. The Angels rank top-five in bombs and now get Simeon Woods Richardson, who generates ground balls just 30% of the time. That’s fuel for L.A.’s bats.

The real tell is the line. The Angels are favored despite their miserable record against Minnesota and despite throwing out Caden Dana, who has one big-league start, versus SWR with 18. Books could have easily made Minnesota chalk and no one would bat an eye. Instead, they’re asking for Twins money. That’s the trap.
