At +165, this is exactly the type of high-value underdog worth backing. You’re getting a pitcher in Kochanowicz whose advanced metrics support his performance, against a volatile arm in Gil who hasn’t shown the ability to consistently execute. The Yankees may carry the bigger name, but the gap on the mound isn’t nearly as wide as the odds suggest. In a game where control and contact management could decide everything, Los Angeles has a very real path to win outright—and at this number, you don’t overthink it, just bet it.Too early in the season for this kinda number.
