Kyle Bradish enters with a 4.00 ERA across 81.0 innings and has displayed strong swing-and-miss ability with a 9.44 K/9. His underlying metrics support his performance, including a 4.10 xERA, 4.33 FIP, and 3.99 xFIP. Bradish also generates ground balls at a healthy 48.6% clip while limiting opponents to a manageable 1.22 HR/9. Although his 4.56 BB/9 is higher than ideal, his ability to miss bats and induce weak contact has helped him remain effective. His 76.2% strand rate and 14.3% HR/FB rate suggest his results are largely sustainable heading into this matchup.

Sam Aldegheri's profile is much less convincing despite a respectable 4.50 ERA. The Angels' left-hander has logged only 20.0 innings and owns a modest 5.85 K/9 while struggling with command, evidenced by a 4.95 BB/9. His advanced metrics raise additional concerns, including a 4.91 FIP and an alarming 6.30 xFIP, which is one of the weakest indicators among starters in this sample. Aldegheri's 28.1% ground-ball rate is particularly problematic, as fly-ball pitchers can be vulnerable to big innings when facing power-heavy lineups. While he has benefited from a low 0.90 HR/9 and 5.6% HR/FB rate, those numbers may not be sustainable over a larger sample.

Baltimore offers  the value because Bradish owns the superior strikeout profile, stronger workload history, and more trustworthy underlying metrics. The Orioles' right-hander has struck out hitters at a rate nearly four batters per nine innings higher than Aldegheri while posting significantly better expected numbers. Baltimore's lineup should also benefit from facing a pitcher with command issues and an extreme fly-ball tendency. If Aldegheri's regression indicators begin to surface, the Orioles have the offensive firepower to capitalize quickly. With Bradish carrying a 9.44 K/9, nearly a 50% ground-ball rate, and underlying metrics that support his 4.00 ERA, Baltimore is definitely well-positioned to win this game outright .
