8:15 PM ET. This one sets up beautifully. Minnesota is laying road chalk in primetime with a rookie quarterback making his first career start. That alone is enough to get our attention. Add in a Chicago team with a new coach, a revamped roster, and a fanbase foaming at the mouth for relevance, and the value tilts hard toward the home side.

Brian Flores blitzes like his hair is on fire, and he’ll absolutely bring heat against Caleb Williams. The problem is, Williams has already faced this exact look. Twice last year, the rookie stood tall against Flores’ chaos and didn’t blink—three touchdowns, no picks, and nearly a 97 passer rating. Williams isn’t perfect, but he’s experienced against the very scheme Minnesota will be throwing at him. Now he’s got an upgraded line, more weapons, and a coach in Ben Johnson who’s made a living tearing Flores apart.

Meanwhile, the Vikings hand the keys to J.J. McCarthy, who hasn’t played a meaningful snap since college. He gets to debut on the road at Soldier Field, in a division rivalry, under the lights. That’s not an easy ask. Justin Jefferson will get his targets, but without Jordan Addison, with Adam Thielen just getting reacclimated, and with an O-line that has its own health questions, this isn’t the same offense that walked to 14 wins last year.
