Minnesota +120 over Seattle

Taj Bradley (RHP – Minnesota, 3.67 ERA)

George Kirby (RHP – Seattle, 3.98 ERA)

4:10 PM EST. Taj Bradley enters this matchup in outstanding form and has quietly become one of the more reliable starters in the league. Over the past month, Bradley owns a 3.38 xERA with an outstanding 20% K-BB%, backed by a 14% swinging-strike rate and nearly 10.5 K/9. He has surrendered two earned runs or fewer in seven of his last eight starts, consistently working deep into games while generating plenty of swing-and-miss. He also draws a favorable matchup against a Seattle lineup that has struggled badly against right-handed pitching over the past month, producing very little offense while striking out at an elevated rate.

George Kirby continues to feature excellent command with one of the lowest BB/9 rates among qualified starters, but his underlying numbers haven't separated him from Bradley. His xERA has hovered close to his traditional ERA, while his strikeout rate has settled around 8.5 K/9. Kirby pounds the strike zone, yet that approach also leads to plenty of contact, and disciplined lineups have been able to string together quality at-bats against him.

This matchup comes down to which starter is pitching better right now, and Bradley owns the edge. His strikeout profile has taken another step forward, his K-BB% has been elite over the past month, and his advanced metrics fully support the results. Minnesota also arrives facing an offense that has been one of the least productive groups in baseball against right-handed pitching, creating another favorable situation for Bradley to continue his impressive run.

Road underdogs with the better current form often create some value, and that's exactly what Minnesota offers today. Bradley is missing bats at an elite rate, limiting damage with solid command, and his xERA confirms the performance is sustainable. With Seattle's offense stuck in a prolonged slump against right-handed pitching, Minnesota is in an excellent position to leave town with an impressive victory.
