12:00 PM ET. Kent State enters on a 21-game losing streak and has been one of the worst programs in the country for two years running. On the surface, that makes Merrimack, an FCS opponent, an appealing underdog. The problem is the market has swung too far.

Everyone is calling for the Warriors’ outright upset, an FCS program that finished 5-6 last year. When that level of support piles onto an underdog at this tier, it often signals a trap. Kent State is no powerhouse, but this is still a team that lined -17 against a comparable FCS foe last year. The Golden Flashes lost outright in that one, which explains the deflation to -7 here. That creates value on the home side.
